A dot fiction

So definitive and sometimes strict, but that is for sure, very important. The poor Dot was in love with the Comma. And is just that her, with her long straight hair always combed in a horse-tail style, made everything being more relaxed, calmed, quiet and in order.

The Comma was the equilibrium that the Dot needed so much. When they came out together the Dot paid attention to her and listened carefully. Oh man! Her voice! So pacific and untroubled. The stupid Asterisk was always making fun of them. –Oh! What do we have here? Dot and Comma! – The Dot, already angry, used to get on top of a place designed only for him, some kind of a Greek column as tall as words, and remarking his importance said in a voice that denoted power. –Pay attention siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilly Asteriiiiiiiiisk-, That is the way he use to begin, with a full army of little dots on top of columns. –If you keep on botheriiiiiing us, I’ll give you a fiiiiiiiinal dot.

The Asterisk, that punk pseudo-dot with his spiky hair full with venom, always a dork, answered full with fury. –You cannot scare me Dot, and get down of those bloody “i’s” so I can send you to the page foot”- The “Page foot” is a place worst than hell, worst than limbo and worst than a nightmare, where others like to send to their worst enemies.

The Dot, worried and troubled went with his friend the Accent. The Accent was a guy similar to the Dot but larger. His importance was remarkable, since he was able to give emphasis to some important things like emoción (emotion), and alegría (happiness). He was able to give rhythm and order to life. He lived in a comfortable mansion in one of the highest and most beautiful parts of México. –Calm down Dot, calm down- the Accent said with a relaxing voice to his friend. –That lunatic Asterisk cannot compare him self with you. You my dear friend, make everything alive, for example to Miss Admiration!, and to Mr. Question Mark? As well! You bring the line alive, and therefore to the shape and the volume! You say until where the sentence arrives and where the tale ends-.

-The Comma?, She loves you Dot! Because she is derived from you just like Eva is derived from Adam. The Asterisk? He is an absurd poor guy, he is not even in this tale, he is always so lonely in those missions to the page foot, so busy remembering forgotten things and sending everybody far away to notes and advertisements. He wants to make him self important, and Jess, he is so proud of him self since they included him on the cell phones, but for Christ Sake Dot!, when have you seen him on top of an “i”? When have you seen he is required for tasks as important as the ones you are needed for? You, my little Dot, are the most important although you are the smallest. So please tell me, what do you think about all this?-

The Dot, crying oceans of ink, moved and eternally graceful with his friend the Accent, answered at least. –Thanks Accent for being in mí (me). I want to end this tale with my loved Comma- and with joy he added, -This is the first time that a tale does not end with a Single Dot, but, do you know Accent?, with a Married Dot;
